The wines of Cantina Sant’ Evasio have been a staple at the shop for the last 20 years, and their flagship Barbera DOCG has been a customer favorite throughout those years. It’s an easy-drinking red; however, there are layers of nuance seldom seen in such an affordable wine.
The fruit is bright and lush with no discernible oak to cloud the mouth-watering appeal and vibrancy of this wine. Excellent with food or enjoying on a picnic, this is classically Italian, and a top choice for pasta/pizza lovers. Medium-bodied, with a classic melange of spicy red and dark cherry and plum flavors, this goes down way too easy to buy just one bottle — good thing there are 4 bottles to a box!
